There's a bunch of Joomla template clubs and many more coming out. But only a few can come out with cool designs every month. It's not in the numbers of templates available, but more on the quality and uniqueness of each template. Most of the template are customizable, and can easily be customized to fit any niche. Templates are becoming more complex and at time can be very heavy and can slow down the site.
Joomlart.com - The home of probably the most creative Joomla templates, currently with 63 templates, they usually come out with 2 templates each month, but due to bugs and poor quality of some templates lately, they decided to create one template each month. The first template is Ja Pluto, April 06 2006.
RocketTheme - Currently with 60 Quality templates and one of the Most popular Template Clubs, They only come out with one template per month, but occasionally comes out with bonus templates. RocketTheme templates are highly customizable, and they are often bundled with custom modules. The First RocketTheme Template is PrimeTime, dated January 2005.
TemplatePlazza - With 57 Joomla templates, TemplatePlazza continues with it's unique templates. Often named their templates on a niche, current template is called Celebs Plazza - Lifestyle Magazine Portal, bundled with components like TP Top Item component that is able to show the Top Item List, like Top 10 music chart or Top 10 Movie box office.
Gavick - Still a Newcomer with only 20 templates to date, If you have a news website, then Gavick would probably be a good choice, they even developed their own custom modules to show news items in a new way. Their first template was News Portal, released April 2007.
Yootheme - Each Yootheme template is highly customizable and loaded with custom features you don't find on other template clubs. One popular feature is the flexible proportions. Due to it's extensive use of JavaScript, some component don't work well with Yootheme. First Yootheme template is Horizon released January 2007.
